Calder Valley Stays

Privacy notice

Calder Valley Stays is a local list of holiday homes. This notice explains what happens to the details a guest sends with an enquiry.

Who to contact

Email enquiries@caldervalleystays.co.uk if you want a copy of an enquiry, a correction, or for it to be deleted. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

What an enquiry includes

When you send an enquiry we keep your name, email address, phone number, how many guests are coming, the dates you asked about, and your message. We also keep which home it was for and when you sent it.

Who sees it

The enquiry is shared with the owner of that home, so they can reply to you and decide whether the dates are free. A confirmation is emailed to you. We do not sell these details, and we do not use them to send marketing. The people who look after the site can see an enquiry if they need to fix a problem with it.

Email is sent through Resend when that is switched on. The owner's copy is addressed so they can reply straight to you.

How long it is kept

An enquiry stays in the owner's dashboard so they have a record of who asked to stay. Ask us if you want yours removed.

To stop repeated or automated enquiries we keep a short technical note for about a day: a scrambled version of the network address, and the email address used. That note does not include your message. It is deleted after 24 hours.

Owner accounts

Owners and the site admin have a name, an email address and a password. The password is stored scrambled. A login cookie remembers the account on that browser for up to 30 days. It is only used to keep you signed in.
